Camera Snapshot in Notification
I'm sure this has been brought up, but why does SimpliSafe not provide image previews with the camera notifications? I have the outdoor camera and an indoor camera, both are great at sending notifications when triggered, but neither show an image preview of what it saw. Either a static image, or a gif in the notification. Note, I have an iPhone with the iOS app. I have Nest products, and they all include image previews with the notifications ever since they were released in 2014. I am reluctant to change to the SimpliSafe doorbell from the Nest doorbell simply because I love the image preview in the notification (as well as the facial recognition).
So at the end of the day, I have to wonder why SimpliSafe cannot include image previews with camera notifications like competitor systems have done over 5 years ago out of the box.

Is it possible to see a video doorbell preview via notification? I know other competitors in the space offer this feature so curious if SS does? If not, is it on the roadmap to be added?

Honestly surprised this has zero comments. Does this preview feature not matter to anyone else? Any thoughts @davey_d ?

I would find this feature to be most helpful to get an instant snapshot in the notification previews. At times I've rushed to the app to view live and/or look at history. Some of the time this could be avoided, with the preview, and if it is a familiar activity or need to go to the app and look further.

Please add this feature SimpliSafe. Even the camera view and ability to see history in one scrollable timeline with the Ring app is years ahead of what you guys currently offer with your camera and app. Just installed SimpliSafe doorbell camera and notifications are useless. Previews help us see right away if it’s something that requires our attention.

We bought the entire SimpliSafe system and installed the cameras yesterday. This has to be the most frustrating part about it. Our old 'generic Amazon' cameras we used for 5 years used to send us a preview. Now, it takes about 20 seconds for the camera to 'wake up' and show us the view. By that time, someone could be inside...and why does it need to wake up if it just sent us a notification of movement detected? PLEASE make this a feature - to include a still image with the notification.

Honestly I really wish I would have done more research on their product before jumping in. Their cameras and their app are lacking so much. I've never had a doorbell give me more notifications about cars outside of where I asked it to detect than it has given me about people inside of the area i've asked it to do. Then it won't give a preview. Lots of times it can't process the video. These things are junk

Agreed! This is something I wish I would have realized before purchasing the system. It truly needs to be an added feature in the immediate future. It makes a massive difference in how quickly you can respond to what is going on outside. If someone rings the doorbell and I have to wait for it to load, I may as well get up and go look out the window instead.
