Is this https://www.crywolfservices.com/ legit?
Several months ago, my toddler accidentally activated the Panic button. We failed to give the correct safe word to the SimpliSafe operator, resulting in the police being called out after 30 minutes.
About a month after this incident, I received a $50 bill from https://www.crywolfservices.com/. I'm wondering if this is a legitimate company since I'm in [edited], but their address is in Los Angeles (PO Box 888822 Los Angeles, CA 90088-8822).
Additionally, SimpliSafe did not inform me about any extra charges for police dispatch.

Hi @laiyuenkit,
I first want to let you know that I edited your post to remove any personal information about where you are located. The Community is a public forum, and we want to protect the privacy of everyone here!
Some municipalities charge false alarm fees if the police were dispatched and there was not a true alarm event, and Cry Wolf Services is an intermediary that handles false alarm prevention and registration for some municipalities.
If you haven't already, I would check to see if your municipality requires permits for alarm systems. You can check this in the SimpliSafe web app, and learn more about permits, in the SimpliSafe Managed Permits article in our Help Center. I would also recommend emailing our permits team at permits@simplisafe.com so they can help prevent any future false alarm fines.

I’m just surprised that it took 30 minutes for the police to arrive after a panic alarm and the fact that the safe word was not provided. Terrible police response time.
