What was update this morning. I have had a new problem for a few weeks of sensors firing, losing contact, etc. I have done everything recommended (twice). Still happens. There was an update a month or so ago. Is that the problem? The system worked flawlessly for 5+ years.

@yobi1 If calling support has not resolved your issues, suggest you call back and politely ask you call to be escalated to a supervisor; if already done than a technical specialist.  Please post your outcome here if you get a chance.

I chatted with support twice. Got elevated once. Usual answers. Did not work. Only common factor to all the dysfunction was the base station. I replaced batteries, moved sensors, moved base station four times-different rooms, still happened. I ordered new base station. Will install in when it arrives. Will report after that. Since this is a daily( sometimes twice a day) problem, I should know very soon.

Same problem of sensors being offline or firing. Only common factor was base station. Rebooted 3 times. Decided to buy new base station. Awaiting it now. Will install and report back.

@yobi1 SS2 or SS3? Also, if under certain monitoring plans, you get a lifetime warranty. Worth looking into if you qualify. My daughter's base (SS3) had to be replaced one but was within the then in effect 3 year warranty period.

Knock on wood mine is 8+ years old, got it during the 2017 beta and still working fine with a 45+ component system in two story framed colonial with full basement.

Please post after you installed the new base if it worked.

This is a follow up. I did buy a new base station which came with an extra keypad and an entry sensor. Changing over was not as easy as I had planned. Although I have gen3, none of my devices moved over to the new base station, requiring an installation, setting, and naming of each one. The base station set up a new second network that took a call to SimpliSafe to understand and find. That being said, I am not convinced that the base station fixed my problem. It is better in that I connect to all sensors all the time, though frequently different ones have a poorer signal that later spontaneously gets better. What I did learn is there was an upgrade in entry sensors in 2023? and the new sensor is slightly different from all my other ones ( will not fit on the old sensor base) and works better for the entry furthest away from the base station. I am more convinced that it is radio interference causing the problems. I would cautiously say I am operational at this time. Rec: be sure to get updated sensors if you are having a persistent problem in one entry. May work.
