Scheduling disarm?
Is there any known (and Simple) way to schedule our system to disable every morning at a specific time? We are installing this at our laundromat where we have automatic door locks that open every morning, and our cleaning crew locks up (and arms) every night. We can send someone over there to disarm every morning at 5am, it's not feasible.

Hello all,
At this time, there is no way to schedule arming or disarming of your system. The philosophy is that both arms and disarms should always be intentional by a human user.
But we do know that this is a popular request, and we have a thread on the Suggestions section about it here. Our product team is always happy to listen to feedback!
In the meantime, you do have the ability to schedule a reminder, so that you'll get a notification when it's time to arm or disarm. You can find instructions for that here.

Alternatively, you (or someone else) can disable the alarm from your phone app (presuming you are awake at that time - which can be burdensome or become unreliable even if you are). Unfortunately, at this point, there is no other option beyond the app unless someone is physically present to disarm (i.e., giving an employee a custom PIN or Key Fob). But to reiterate, both of those alternatives/suggestions require someone to be present.

Right, for now the only way to arm or disarm the system is by direct action by a person. But we do have Arming Reminders in the Settings of the SimpliSafe app, so you can get a notification when it's time to arm or disarm.

Looking around at a new alarm why don't they have an auto arming feature?
It makes my 20 year old home control alarm system look futuristic with what I can and cannot configure.
Currently my current system auto arms at 23.30 and disarms at 05.30 unless I manually arm it then it needs a manual disarming .

I just bought a SS system only to realise there's no scheduling feature - which I always used in my last system. Can't believe it doesn't exist - please add it.

Bad product design, to assume users aren’t responsible enough to use an automated solution with a “smart” system.

Honestly, my opinion is the alarm should work like blink-- it would allow one to enable the entire system while being able to disable specific cameras (aka devices in SimpliSafe terms) while everything else is still on. Then at night say 10pm the scheduled alarm would enable all devices again (or turn the system alarm on if it were off). Obviously being able to auto disable the whole system (or a specific device) at 6am would be great too.
With this all being said, I like the SimpliSafe system. Just purchased it a week ago and is working well. I wish I had more control over the individual devices (to enable/disable independent from the entire system alarm) and had the ability to ensure every night the alarm automatically came on at a specific time arming all devices.

I also really need the auto arm - I don’t reliably remember to turn it on or off and I don’t always see or hear the notifications. That’s what computers are good for - doing things automatically, dependably…
i didn’t even think to look for this feature on this new system - I assumed it at least had everything my previous old system had. Please add this basic feature!

Another vote for this feature. Our kids wake up before we do and go downstairs past two motion sensors. With the system as is, we can't arm these sensors without being woken (and waking up the baby) every morning. So they're essentially useless.
This is a simple engineering change. The issue seems to be more best practices - why don't you include some disclaimer pop up strongly recommending against the action, or stating you're not responsible for false alarms, etc. - and let us, the user, decide what's best?

Agreed with everyone here. It seems like a crucial feature that’s missing—one that most competitors have. I bet some people have left SS due to this and many will continue. Not sure I follow the reasoning that every arm and disarm needs to be intentional by a human user… in this case yes a scheduled arm and disarm would be intentionally set up by a human user. You don’t need to force everyone to use it—just let people who want to schedule things do just that. You need to add this.

@davey_d , any updates from the product team? This thread has been active for over 12 months, and, like folks have mentioned, this is a very simple engineering fix.
The more I think about this, the more inclined I am to cancel my service and move to another. Like ML123 says, nearly every competitor offers this feature.
