Repeated post: lost wifi and beeping sound
Last night I lost my internet connection; however my access points were still functioning (at least to my router).
Repeat posting: when will SimpliSafe do something about loss of internet but without loss of access points?
Last night when I lost internet, the base station started beeping a number of times with I think a two tone sound. It was about five or six series of beeps. It stopped, then started beeping again about 90 minutes later with the same pattern. At this point, I disconnected my access points. This morning internet was backup and I repowered the access points. When the second round of beeping started, I attempted to access the base station thru the app. Phone was already off the access points. There was virtually no response from the base station until I powered down the access points.
SimpliSafe: were these beeps the result of internet being loss?

Hi @general_kaos,
That beeping you heard sounds like the Base Station's Trouble Signal to me. The Trouble Signal is a three-tone chime, and it sounds to alert you that your system could be having an issue - like if a sensor is offline or there is a No Link to Dispatcher error. Once the Trouble Signal sounds, the Keypad will have a <!> icon and will tell you what the problem is. The Trouble Signal will not stop until the issue is resolved.
If your Base Station was not connected to its cellular backup while your internet was down, the Trouble Signal could have gone off due to a No Link to Dispatcher error.

@emily_s - a couple of related questions:
1. Is the trouble signal supposed to sound continuously or about once every 90-ish minutes, like mine did?
2. After turning off the access points, I also turned off sound until internet was back up. I did see my doorbell camera was off-line. Would this cause the trouble signal to sound or was it the loss of contact to monitoring?
3. To my repeated comment about losing internet connection but having access points "up." Have your developers looked into this issue?
Thanks!
