Did you follow the advice in an earlier post of this thread to check for a message on the keypad?

You are not connected to dispatch.  SS2 or SS3? Regardless, call Simplisafe support for assistance. They are open today until midnight eastern

Below is a list of Base Station light cues for the All-New SimpliSafe:

No light: Disarmed or not powered
Solid Blue: System armed in Home or Away Mode
Solid Red: Alarm Occurred
Red light fading: Recent Alarm
Red light blinking: Error or recent Power Outage.
Yellow light fading: Downloading Update
Yellow light blinking: Settings Saving from App
White light fading: listening to signals of components.
White light blinking slowly: receiving Keypad input

Below are Base Station light cues for the SimpliSafe Original:

Flashing Blue Light: There is a message on the keypad.
Solid Blue Light: Your system is armed.
No Blue Light: Your system is disarmed and there are no messages on the Keypad.

Lee from SimpliSafe,
Thank you so very much for this information.  Where, on the SimpliSafe website, and in published literature,  can I go to get this list of Bast Station light cues?  The Setup Guide accompanying my new system does not provide this information, there is no Users Manual (what opens is the Setup Guide NOT Users Manual) that I have been able to locate and no information on the SimpliSafe to indicate what the colors of the Base Station indicated.  This is VERY important information for SimpliSafe Users to have at their disposal, so we can know what is actually happening with our systems.
Thank you,
Joe W.

I have not been able to find this information anywhere! Very poor documentation from SS.

Hi @gijoelpc,

When it comes to the Base Station's light cues, all of them are accompanied by warnings on the Keypad. So you can check the Keypad's main screen or the ‚ö†Warning notification on the right for more information.

How do you reset the base so it is not red anymore?

Go to your keypad and click on recent alarms. Press the "X' and the light on your base station will go away

I concur with GREGORY STATEMENT TO reset of a steady red lite on the base station after an alarm to :

go to your...

1.. KEYPAD AND CLICK ON RECENT ALARM  WHICH SHOWS UP ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE KEY PAD,

2...NEXT YOU WILL SEE AN X CLICK ON THE RIGHT SIDE AGAIN AND POOF THE RED LITE GOES OFF ON THE BASE STATION LIKE MAJIC!!

So, that worked to remove the red from the base station, but now there is no light at all.

^  If your system is in OFF mode, there won't be a light on the base station.  To check the base station light, arm your system to Home mode, watch for the light on the base station, it should be lit.  Then disarm the system, it should then be in OFF mode and no light on the base station - this is normal.

If there is no light on the base station in Home mode, double-check your settings to make sure you didn't inadvertently choose to disable the base station light.
