Base Station light goes out

I have done all that, when I plug it in white light comes on and then goes out and stays out. I cannot connect to it at all.

Hi @clima001 ,

I created a new thread for you from your comment, because it sounds like you're having a totally different issue. From what you mention, it sounds like your Base Station is failing to boot up. Also, it sounds like you've already tried resetting the Base Station by powering it down completely, including taking out a battery.

Do you hear the voice prompt "welcome to simplisafe" at all? I suspect that the solution here might be to replace your Base Station entirely. Our Support team at 800-548-9508 can help with that.

When I take the batteries out and replace them it just says simplisafe that's it and no lights

@clima001​ I think I'm right and something has gone very wrong with your Base Station, and it's not longer able to boot up. Have you already been in touch with our Support team? We should get you that replacement Base Station ASAP.

@davey_d​ it will not connect to the key pad, but the alarm did trigger and connected to have the police come. and I put in my master pin to my account and it dies not take

@clima001​ when you rebooted did you also pull the power cord off as well so absolutely no power is to it?

@lance843 pretty sure you can not take out batteries without first removing the power cord.

I have the same problem however my system works fine as far as I can tell, base station just won't light up despite rebooting (unplugging, battery out etc.)

@jparker21417​ the OP describes that when they plug in their Base Station, it powers up for a second or two, then fails - so it (and the whole alarm system) is not actually functional.

So what you describe seems to be a totally different issue. Do you ever see the lights at all? e.g. when the system is armed, or when there's an error on the Keypad screen?

I would also checking the settings you have for the system, in the app under ☰ Menu > My System > General Settings, just in case you have the Base Station light set to off there.

But if the setting is on, and the light physically won't come on at all, then the issue might be with the hardware. I would suggest contacting our Support team so we can get you a replacement.
