Base Station Amber Light

Well my system seems to still be updating!! The, said an AMBER LIGHT means it's still updating. Been updating for MONTHS 2 ECACTLY!!. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ At this point it's just a JOKE! Looking for something else...BETTER!!

Hi @shilo4955, 

I converted your comment into a post so we can continue to troubleshoot your system here. An amber light on the Base Station does mean that it is downloading an update, but that light should not remain after the update has finished.

Have you already tried resetting your Base Station to see if that clears out this light? You can reset your Base Station by taking the following steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the Base Station and use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the screw below the plug
  2. Remove the bottom cover and remove one battery from the Base Station
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reassemble the Base Station by inserting the battery, cover, and the power cord
  5. When powered up after the reset, you will hear the Base Station say, β€œWelcome to SimpliSafe"

Hi did that still the same.Maybe they need to replace the BASE STATION. Any other suggestions?

@shilo4955​ Yes, if a reset didn't clear the amber light from your Base Station then we may need to replace the device all together. If you reach out to our Support team, they can assist you with that.
