Monitoring Center Process Update

While doing my usual monthly system maintenance (cleaning smoke and Co sensors, inspecting sensor mountings etc) I received two recorded messages from COPS confirming they received my test signals. In the past, I got a live call and asked them to place the entire system on test for one hour.  New process means new action on my part, to reach a live associate and then make the request. I don't have an issue with the process as it makes COPS more efficient; what I do have issue with is the usual lack of communication from Simplisafe advising customers of the change.

As I just recommend my 31st system, with my reputation on the line, yes, Simplisafe, I take gaffes like this personally. Get it in gear.

Do you mean they sent voicemails?  You mean I have to start telling people "don't expect a call from Monitoring" during test mode? LOL.

Kind of like everything else, you'd think with the advent of the internet and how darned easy it is to put up a notice on your own website.....oh wait, I think they've had that webadmin position open for the last 6 years...

@coltmaster1 hi long time no hear. Hope you and the family are well in these crazy times.

You get a call from COPS and when you pick up, a few seconds later you get a recorded voice your test signal was received, and hit 1 to confirm you got the message or 3 to talk to an agent.  Works well but if I knew the process beforehand, I would have hit 3 and told COPS to put my system in test right off the bat.

Have a good weekend.

Ah, I see, good to know.  And glad to hear a forum member always gets the news before SS bothers to tell us! :)

We're doing ok, right along with as well as anyone else, lol.  Hope you're all doing well and staying safe!
