Video Doorbell Question

I have the video doorbell pro and just bought the extra siren. The siren works fine, it beeps when the count down feature is on, the sensor chimes when any sensor is open, the siren works fine when the smoke detector goes off, everything seems to work fine except that it won't mimic the doorbell chime when it is pressed.  I've talked to a SimpliSafe tech a few different times, and they all said that the siren should mimic the door bell ring. But I've read elsewhere that, it does not mimic the door bell ring, only mimics the door bell chime when either sensor is open or closed. Can anyone confirm that the siren mimics the door bell ring?  Thank you.
