Simplisafe Doorbell
I recently purchased a door bell. Installing it was a breeze, everything looked fine.
Except it's not. The doorbell has recognition, but when it records any movement, like the UPS guy coming to my door, it tells me it had "internet issues" and that it could not finish the recording. Usually it's 35-45 seconds. Sometimes sooner, sometimes it doesn't record at all.
I have 1Gbps down, 60Mbps up on my internet. Confirmed at 840 mbps down, and 58 mbps up over my wireless network with speedtest on my phone, standing on the porch, on the phone with the Simplisafe tech on the phone.
I have modified my QoS in my router so that when the Simplisafe doorbell requests wifi, it has 30mpbs on it's own 2.4ghz channel. Plenty to record a 720p recording. Yet, it still does the same thing.
I've reset the doorbell, reconnected it, per the instructions on the phone with the SS tech. I've reset the router. Reset and reconfigured the network. Router is less than 10 feet from my door bell. (Sits in the corner of my office, on the other side of the wall from the hallway that leads to the front door.)
I could use some help. Anyone have any experience with this thing? I'm baffled.
Thanks.
