OUTDOOR CAMERA MOUNTING
Greetings folks; I am reading here that the outdoor camera range is cut in half if installed upside down . My question is if the camera is aimed on its side when mounted is the range affected ? Need to monitor doors that are on a right angle to the mounting location. No other option except soffit and upside down !.

Hi @BobM,
If you place the Outdoor Camera on its side, its motion sensor should still have the same 30 foot range as when its installed right side up, but its motion detection would also be sideways as well.

Thanks for the reply. The sideways wouldn't really matter to be but just as a point of info. Do you happen to know that is the cone height of the motion detector sensitivity.? By that I mean if mounted right side up how high is the cone of sensitivity of the motion sensor. That should be the same sideways if the distance is the same and cove my needs.
