Doorbell after Power Outage

My doorbell was disconnected from the power supply for a few days.  When the power was re-established, the doorbell is showing a "disconnected" status in the app and the doorbell does not illuminate.  Is there a charge-up time before the doorbell becomes operational again?

Hi @kaufmannkj ,

It's possible that your Video Doorbell failed to reboot when the power came back on. Have you already tried a reset? You can do so by unmounting the unit, and pressing the small button (above the USB service port) for 16 seconds. When you release, it should reboot, and you can set it up again through the SimpliSafe app.


If it isn't able to power up at all, even after a reset, we might need to replace it. Our Support team can help.

Yes, I reset it while connected to a usb power supply.  I'm thinking my current power supply cable is failing, because the doorbell powers up when connected via usb.  I am going to replace my power supply and see if that fixes the problem.
