@evilqueen2312 we're assuming that you're asking about a SimpliSafe Wireless Outdoor Camera, since what we refer to as the SimpliCam is indoor-only.
The Outdoor Camera would likely recognize any accessory plugged into the port as a generic USB charger. It doesn't have anything in the firmware that would prevent your third party device from functioning.
However, our own Solar Panel accessory was made to precisely plug into the Outdoor Camera with a watertight seal. So what could have happened is that water (from rain, or even dew) might have gotten in there and corroded the port. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you use only the official SimpliSafe accessory.
It is possible that the port on your Outdoor Camera may no longer work. You can maybe try plugging it into a standard 5v power brick to test (like the little chargers that used to come with iPhones, if you have one lying around).
