Custom notifications from Simplicam

Hi,

I use my SimpliSafe app on my Samsung S7. Is there a way to set up custom notifications i.e. my phone plays a different sound to the app provided sound when the cameras pick up motion? at present, the tone is the same as my other notifications i.e. messages.

thanks.

Hi all,

Just so you know, we've forwarded this request (a unique/customizable tone for iOS) to our development team! Of course, on Android, you can already change the custom tone by navigating through the Android System Settings menu (the exact navigation may differ for your device).

@mrsgonzalves We don't have an update on this request just yet. Although, if you have an Android, you can change the notification sound in your Settings menu.

Go into the phone's notification settings and find the SimpliSafe app. There you should be able to change the sound for SS notifications.

I tried that once and changed the SS notification tone to something else but it stopped giving a sound altogether until i changed it back to 'app provided sound'. have you tried doing this yourself?

I'm having a similar issue with my Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max. I need to change the current (default) sound for my Simplisafe indoor camera to something else, since I'm already using that sound for some of my other apps. However, there is NO WAY to change the sound in my Simplisafe app--there's only a way to turn the sounds on or off. Please offer a solution to this if there is one, and if there isn't, please include a solution in a future update to the app!!

Have you considered changing the sounds for the other apps?
