Camera Firmware Updates

I got my two new cameras today. They were both on an ancient firmware and they'd barely connect to my network. One of them updated itself to 2.6.0.99 almost immediately. The second one took a little extra attention to get it to update.

After I saw the update, I checked my two existing cameras and they both have 2.5.2.76. They are working fine, but it has me wondering how to get them updated to 2.6.0.99.

Any ideas?

Two of mine are 2.5.2.76 and one is 2.6.0.99. The only thing different between them I can think of is the one with newer version I had unplugged for maybe 5-10 minutes several days ago.

FWIW, I unplugged the cam that still had 2.5.2.76 and let it sit for a few minutes. Reconnected it and checked the version a while later, it too now has 2.6.0.99.

How do you find the firmware version?

Go into the Camera Settings and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page/screen. You have to check each one individually.
