window sensor

The system told me that my bedroon sensor needed a new battery which I have replaced, but it still is showing that the battery still needs to be replaced.  Any ideas??

@christin you can try swapping the sensor with a different (whehter a new one or just one from another window) and see if you still have the issue. If that doesn't work, try moving the base. If the window is metal, try putting a piece of cardboard between the sensor and metal surface, or, just call support and go through troubleshooting.  If its defective and under warranty, they will just replace it.

@christin Do you see in the SimpliSafe mobile app that this sensor's battery still needs to be replaced? And if so, have you tried refreshing the app by either pulling down on the home screen or pressing the 🔄 refresh icon on the top right corner of the Device Settings page? Refreshing the mobile app will pull the most recent information from the Base Station.

If you have already refreshed the mobile app, I would then try what Captain11 recommended and swap the battery in this sensor with another one that is not giving you this low battery message to ensure that there is a working battery in there.

But if this sensor still shows that it has a low battery in the mobile app, I would try deleting this sensor in the mobile app my navigating to My System > Device Settings > select [your Entry Sensor] > x Remove Device. After that, you can then add this sensor back to your system by following these steps in our installation guide.
