Simplisafe app on Fire Cube

Has anyone tried side loading the Simplisafe (android version) app on a Fire Cube? It would be awesome to be able to view my outside camera on my TV. But, I've had bad experiences with side loading, so hoping someone else has tested the water.  :-)
