App logging out and watch app not working

Anyone else having to log into the app every 3 days regardless of whether or not you tell it to remember your device?

also, anyone else unable to get the watch app to do anything other than constantly refresh?

Hi @Nellanaesp ,

For the first issue, sounds like you've already found this thread, about a known issue with retaining logins in the iOS app. We did start rolling out a new version of the app this week with a fix for that issue. So hopefully you've already been able to install, and are no longer seeing the issue!

As for the second, that is also a known issue, where in order for the companion Apple Watch app to function, the SimpliSafe app on your phone needs to be currently running and logged in. Our dev team continues to investigate.

I'm having the same issue and your tech support team keeps telling me it must be my phone and they've never heard of this issue. What can I do to fix this?!?!

@maguirebrian sorry to hear that. Which issue were you specifically asking about? If it's the issue with the logins, we suggest updating to the latest version of the SimpliSafe app.

This used to happen on my previous iphone. I emailed customer support explaining what a huge security flaw the automatic logout was, and they responded quickly and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. Oddly, it never happened (automatic logout) again on thst device from that day forward. Now, new phone, latest ios, latest app version and I'm having to log in every time I check on the app. Didn't realize it until I stopped getting motion alerts from my driveway camera (because Simplisafe logged me out).

Very unsafe feature. If I log in I need to stay logged in until I sign out myself, just like it used to work. Otherwise I'll be cancelling my subscription and requesting a refund for the entire time I was unwittingly logged out and not receiving alerts about people coming on my property.
