The Great Cat Caper

With the pandemic, my wife and I are now cat sitting Shiloh and Blu for my son-in-law and daughter, with the benefit of having them and our granddaughter every other week. (long story on the why)  Today I start a little of an experiment with all of the motion sensors on the first and 2nd floor changed to the low setting and changed for home and away to secret alert only.  Shiloh and Blu tip the scale at about 7 pounds so it will be interesting to see if the SS3 motion sensors will pick them up.  If we go two weeks with no alerts, will consider the system "cat resistant". :-)  Will provide updates every few days.

@usmaak you may be right, but so far no motions have been triggered.  Blu and Shiloh have 3 more days to do it as "dad" is coming back Monday morning to take them home. While cute, the Mrs and I will be glad to see them go.  I will leave the sensisity at low permanently as the coverage is still fine but will set to alarm from secret alert.  My outcome (may regret it) is my system is now "cat proof"...okay, maybe "cat resistant".  Will see how it goes this holiday weekend....and Blu and Shiloh, no fireworks!!!

Hi all, glad to say Shiloh and Blu are now home. Results in, not one motion sensor tripped during the past 3 weeks with the sensitivity changed to low with a motion sensor in each room.  Just changed the settings from secret alert to alarm and if and when they stay again,  will leave it that way, with a high level of confidence. Hopefully, they won't set the system off!
