Outdoor camera record time

How come my old crappy blink cameras that are battery powered can record for 60 seconds. But my plugged in SimpliSafe  outdoor camera I pay monthly for can’t record longer than 13 seconds when motion stops….. you seriously need to upgrade your servers if space is the excuse you say to your customers. It’s pathetic.
