No. All features will still work without an entry sensor. 

However, the auto-lock feature will be “smarter” when paired with an entry sensor. The entry sensor tells your Lock when the door is open, preventing the Lock from trying to “lock” your door even when it’s open. We still recommend pairing an entry sensor with your Smart Lock for security reasons, and to prevent the auto-lock from engaging while the door is open.
