What are the service plan options?

In addition to our suite of products, SimpliSafe also offers a selection of subscription plans to provide additional layers of security.

Professionally Monitored plans start at $17.99*/month. We also offer a low-cost service plan for customers with cameras starting at $9.99*/ month.

All of our plans are paid monthly and have no contracts or hidden fees—so you can rest assured you're getting all the features you want when you want them. For more details on these plans, see below or contact our customer service team.

This plan is our most popular and offers the most security for the low monthly price of $27.99.* With this plan you'll get:

With the Interactive monitoring plan you will also have access to a limited lifetime product warranty and 10% off future equipment purchases for your system!

With our Standard Monitoring plan, you'll get only the basic features without sacrificing any of the security. You'll get:

  • Water leak detection

  • Dangerous temperature detection

  • Control your system from your phone with the SimpliSafe App

  • System timeline showing up to 7 days of history in the app

  • View and change system and device settings

  • Lock and unlock Smart Lock via app

  • Alarm, error, and camera push notifications

SELF-MONITORING w/ CAMERA RECORDING—$9.99*/MONTH

If you only have a SimpliSafe Camera, you can still have access to enhanced features. For $9.99*/month for up to 5 cameras you'll get:

  • Access to recordings for 30 days

  • Ability to download recordings from the app to your phone or computer

  • Manual recording when viewing the live stream

  • Control your system from your phone with the SimpliSafe App

  • Please Note: This plan does not offer professional monitoring.

Use of all SimpliSafe cameras and basic app control features requires a Wi-Fi connection.

Unmonitored, No monthly fee

Some customers may choose to forego a monitoring plan and simply keep track of their system themselves. Self-Monitoring allows you to have access to basic features—though you will need an internet connection to access these features.

However, we do encourage you to at least test out our Interactive or Standard Monitoring plans—free for one month!—as these provide the most security for your home and control over your SimpliSafe system.

If Self-Monitoring ends up being the right choice for you, you will still have access to:

  • Live video feed of your cameras from the SimpliSafe app

  • System timeline showing up to 7 days of history in the app

  • Control your system from your phone with the SimpliSafe App

  • View and change system and device settings

  • Lock and unlock Smart Lock via app

Please note that without a monitoring plan you will not have access to:

  • 24/7 professional monitoring and law enforcement dispatch

  • 24/7 fire and emergency medical monitoring and dispatch

  • Download video recordings from the app to your phone

  • Receive better home insurance discounts
