Does your Keypad look like the one pictured to the left? Then you're in the right place! You've got the Gen 3 SimpliSafe system. If you purchased a system in 2017 or earlier, you have the Original SimpliSafe. Click here to view the article for the Original SimpliSafe. If you're not certain which system you have, you can tell the difference here.
If you are consistently seeing a warning that one of your Entry Sensors is open, despite all of your doors and windows being closed, one of the following items is likely the cause:
- Your Entry Sensor is too far away from its corresponding magnet piece.
- Your Entry Sensor (or its corresponding magnet) is placed on a metallic surface.
First, double check that the printed sensor number matches with the number reported in the warning. If the warning only shows a name, you can access the individual sensor's settings through the keypad to find the sensor number. Next, make sure that all of your doors and windows are closed. If the door/window where this issue is occurring is metal, placing a buffer between the magnet and the metallic surface may help (such as a couple of extra adhesive strips).
If this does not resolve your issue, please contact our customer support team directly for further assistance.
