Are the Smoke/CO2 detectors less prone to false alarms the the normal smoke detectors?

Like everyone else, I'm plagued with false alarms (sometimes during the day, sometimes at 3am - super pleasant). I was talking to tech support on the phone and he didnt seem to know if the newer smoke/CO2 detectors were less prone to false alarms or not. Does anyone know? They offered to replace 2 o

@davey_d I understand the company's position, but I'm one false alarm away from finding a new alarm company. Rolling the dice and seeing if they keep going off in the middle of the night and terrorizing my kids is not an option
