This is a required feature. Even more disappointing than not having 24/7 video from the outdoor camera. 

How can we set the recording time? Why can’t it be as long as we are watching or until we stop the manual recording? I was monitoring and then recording an intruder and the recording stopped just as their face would have been visible.

Definitely would like that option. Record time should be set by customer.
