I also need this. The light is much too bright at night in my small house.  I don't want to lose the functionality of the light by turning it off completely (although dandyDon has a point to consider...).

No unfortunately the system only makes a chime sound when a door is opened. I wish it annouced which door was being opened.

To my knowledge the system doesn't have this feature - but seems like a nice feature to have. When you are arming the system and inadvertently leave a door open, it will tell you which door. I believe it tells you on the keypad as well as with a verb
