I have been setting up new system slowly and fighting with the Doorbell Pro and WIFI signal. I have a Ubiquiti MESH network (Very good WIFI system ) I have been through 2 Doorbells now but after the initial setup the Doorbell constantly is disconnected. Tech Support has been very bad and I can't se

It has been my experience that video doorbells (regardless of brand) require extremely strong wifi signals. I guess exterior doors and walls filter out a lot of the signal, especially so when that tiny device is sending video and audio signals to th

When did SimpliSafe start selling Wi-Fi extenders? https://simplisafe.com/wifi-extender Looks like this is a TP-Link product (with an older logo?) and not a SimpliSafe branded product. Is there anything special about this or specific to SimpliSafe versus other Wi-Fi extenders?

I'm a proponent of Mesh router systems. Especially so when integrating cameras into your system.  Cameras (esp. outdoor cameras) seem to need the strongest signal possible, and frequently moving a mesh node closer to the camera is the only prac

My son just bought a house that has no doorbell, and he doesn't want to go to the trouble/expense of retrofitting a wired doorbell. Neither he nor I am very handy. He will be installing a SimpliSafe home security system (already purchased for a prior house). Because he doesn't want to retro wire

@SS, Will SimpliSafe replace Outdoor Cameras that are stolen like Ring will? I don't see anything in the support article or product page. Also will they keep an eye out for cameras that are reported stolen coming back on line to help owners track them down?

Well, I'm pretty lucky, I guess. My house slopes down from the street about 20-30 feet over-all towards a creek in the back.  I can keep the camera well off the ground and and aimed towards the street and still be able to see someone's face.

How would one steal an outdoor camera? I should think a logical placement for maximum coverage would require a ladder at the very least!  Certainly the number of at risk cameras would be pretty small, overall.  Wouldn't home insurance (at

Ladies and gentlemen, I love to explore the Simplisafe Career Center. Came across this posting for a Sr Product Mgr, whose job is to "be responsible for maintaining and improving our wide portfolio of security cameras after they have launched to customers." Wow. Love that "wide portfolio of sec

Is there a way for the voice commands to run thru Bluetooth hearing aids?

Yes! No one is marketing to the hearing impaired.   That auxiliary siren is a good first start, but we need to have a flashing light in the bedroom, or, maybe, an Alexa/Zigbee routine to turn on the lights when the siren goes off.  Poss

You website does not give enough specifics on the products. I ordered the doorbell system and when I was ready to install it I found out that it requires electricity to operate.  I don't have electricity at my front door.  I have been using a battery powered chime. WHEN WILL YOU HAVE A BA

Battery powered doorbells are convenient, to be sure. Especially if all one wants is visitor notifications. But what are their security implications?  Can they be disabled by removing the battery?  How quickly do they respond to their t
