Voice prompts / announcements are cut off / incomplete
My base station does not always announce the complete voice prompts when arming home and when announcing the various sensor names in test mode. For example, I'll press "Home" on the keypad, and the base station will say something like "Sim..." or "Simplisafe" or even just "Sss" instead of the full announcement which is "Simplisafe On, Home." When in test mode, it'll say something like "Master..." instead of "Master Bedroom, Motion Sensor." The completeness of the announcements vary. Strange thing is when I arm using the app, so far the announcements have been complete. I have the latest firmware updated one week ago.
Anyone else having the same issue?

I'm still having this issue even after multiple base station resets of 3+ minutes. Is engineering still working on a solution or is the base station reset procedure considered the solution? If engineering is testing, they should test with wifi network removed from keypad, and use only cellular, as it appears, based on others' comments here that a reset of or reconnect to wifi fixes it. Perhaps we need a solution for those on cellular only?

@davey_d So to summarize, I’m still having this issue when using cellular only (Wi-Fi network removed) when using keypad only. My previous SS3 base station running the same firmware version didn’t have this issue. Why would 2 base stations running identical firmware behave differently? Also interesting that the firmware was released in September but the issue with voice prompts only popped up in the last couple of months. Has engineering confirmed that’s it’s a firmware issue and not a hardware issue? Will a future firmware release fix this? Thanks.

I have the same issue and the reset you recommended does not work. Not much announcement for any of the features that would normally work. Will you have someone contact me to get this fixed?

When arming on home, a few weeks ago I noticed the prompt saying "Simplisafe armed Ho". Tonight it does not notify anything at all. Tried it 4 times and nothing. I'll try a reset this weekend when I get time but this is apparently a widespread issue.

I’m also having the same problem. This started a week ago and the reset procedure you provided did not work. Please keep us posted on any software updates.

Voicr prompts only get part of a word out and the silence. Started a few weeks ago.

I have the same problem but mine started after firmware update last week. Something in that firmware probably had a programming bug.

We have been having the same issue for about two weeks now. The base station does not fully announce that the unit has been armed. It is similar to other posters. We have to press it twice in order for it to say simply safe home or simply safe alarm off.

Add me to the list as well. No more full voice prompts.

Voice prompts are good except one, which begins 'Please..' and nothing more. I've tried all the steps suggested months ago. Guess it's time for a new device.

Same issue here. All the fixes noted above were only temporary.

I have been having the same issue for several weeks now. It started off happening every now and then. But almost all voice notifications are truncated or non existent at this point. I will give the base reset a try.

Yes. Ever since we installed the Beta test camera. But I have not had positive results with tech chat or interacting with the Beta test program.
