Garage Door Sensor Requested -- Again

Currently, it's -3 F outside, windchill -17 and in my unheated garage,  two Simplisafe Entry Sensors and a motion detector are standing guard protecting the homestead.  Yep, outside the recommended operating temperature range, they are built to perform - nicely I must add - and work perfectly. The entry sensors,  in-home mode operate perfectly, but, alas, I need your help SS to have them work effectively in away mode.

7th+ year I and many others have asked, patiently, for an official garage door sensor. You almost already have a product to sell.  (Unless you don't get it the obvious, you take an existing entry sensor, put it on a similar nylon holder that several already sell on Etsy, update the firmware with a few tweaks and you can release this by Easter, 2024. :-)
