Monitoring Cost

Actually, SS was the price leader (for PROFESSIONAL monitoring).  Ring is a new competitor, and their price is attractive.  Just keep in mind 2 things.  1) We don't have any experience on how GOOD their monitoring is, and 2) they are owned by Amazon, who is famous for starting with a low price and then when everybody signs up, boosting it.  Or discontinuing the service.

Ring does NOT do visual verification, a must for some police.

I'm coming into this after paying ADT $58 per month, with them raising it at least once per year.  This is a bargain to me.

I agree with usmaak.  My wife and I went to Wendy's the other day and spent 21 bucks for lunch.  In the grand scheme of things, SS is cheap.

I have only paid $14.99 since I signed up 6 years ago.  I haven't found a need to be able to control the alarm from my Smartphone.  Leave the house, turn it on; return home, turn it off.  Simple, as in SimpliSafe!

In the 6 years I have had SimpliSafe I have never had a problem with any of my 16 sensors, and the 3 false alarms I had were all my fault.
