Emergency Dispatch Turns OFF by itself

I have had SimpliSafe now for over a year and the Emergency Dispatch mode turns off all by itself. It has been doing this since installation. I receive emails like the one below every time I reset the emergency dispatch in the phone app after turning it on. I used to receive these emails within about 24-48 hours after turning it back on. Now, it will be a couple of days and it turns itself off. Today, March 24th, 2024, I am fed up with it. I have dealt with this issue and called customer service. Replaced the base station and one rep did tell me it was a problem they are trying to fix. If something happens to my home or family and the system is turning off all by itself, this is false advertisement for the monitoring and emergency dispatch to use the cameras. I am contemplating contacting the DA in Boston, MA.

Hi @abc ,

Thanks so much for checking in so we can help figure this out for you.

The Visual Verification feature essentially gives the app permission so that if there is an alarm event in progress, our service will send recordings of the event to the agent handling your call. That means before the agent calls your local police department, they'll be able to look at what's going on at your location, and can pass on that info.

However, the Monitoring Service itself, including dispatch, remains on whether or not Visual Verification is disabled. The only way to disable dispatch is to give our Support team a call and verify your Safe Word passcode, so we can make changes to your account for you.

That being said, did you say that after re-enabling Visual Verification, it disables on its own? That should not be happening. If that's the case, I might need to request a call from our specialist team so we can find out what's going on with your account.

Did you read my post? YES! It disables on it's own after resetting.

The good news is that it sounds like your Monitoring Service itself is unaffected. But we'll need to figure out what's going on with the Visual Verification. I've requested our specialist team look into this, and we'll get back to you ASAP.
