What size strips?

What size strips do I need to order for the Keypad wall mount (Command 3M brand) as I need to replace the "Removables" by Hookz strips that initially came with my SS3 system in 2018. I do not wish to trim or buy ones too small.

Thank you.

Hi Shiherlis,

Looks like medium Command Strips should be about the right size - though I'm not sure if any store-bought ones would be an exact match.

Though don't forget, we switched to genuine 3M Command Strips across all our products. Our Support team can get you some spares.

(Though actually, I have something else I wanted to replace for you, so I'll just include these in the same package!)

I also need 3 M strips for both pieces of the door/window sensors as well the motion sensors. We are repainting rooms and the strips did not release as expected. So, they need to be replaced before we put them back up.

Thanks in advance!

@atallarigo we use the 3M Small adhesive strips for our sensors. Our Support team can assist you with obtaining more adhesives, but they can also be found at other retailers like Amazon, Target, and local hardware stores.

@guiont The large Command Strip refill should be the right size to mount the Extra Siren.

@guiont I personally recommend the large 3M velcro picture hanging strips. They literally can hold 1,3, 5 pounds and in over 7 years with my SS3 system nothing has ever fallen off. Great for mounting glass and motion sensors in the corner of rooms too, as they are thicker and account for gaps in crooked walls. Need smaller strips? Just cut to size and work great on entry sensors too. The only thing I don't use them for is my two garage door entry sensors. Those are screwed in.
