It would seem that Simplisafe defaults to the police dept by zipcode association, however our Township PD is MUCH closer and has a much quicker response. How do I have S.S. switch PDs?

Hi @coppolachuck ,
Yes, by default, our system will have your local dispatch numbers set by ZIP code. But you can reach out to our team at Permits@simpliSafe.com, and they can change the dispatch settings for you. They can also call authorities nearby, to double-check that they can dispatch to your home.

@coppolachuck When I first started with Simplisafe 10+ years ago I called support, asked them who they would contact (what police dept) and confirmed they were correct. Then I visited our village PD and confirmed the # the monitoring company would contact. No issues ever.
I suggest you do the same.
