No link to dispatcher

For several weeks I receive "no link to dispatcher" message.  It comes and goes.  I'm in Northern New Jersey.

Hi @Mea Culpa,

It sounds like a Base Station reset may be in order. This should completely reboot your system and get it a fresh cellular connection. To perform a base station reset follow these steps:

  • Unplug the power cord from your Base Station.
  • Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery cover on the bottom of your Base Station.
  • Remove one of the batteries from the bottom of your Base Station for about 30 seconds.
  • Put your Base Station back together.

As your Base Station starts back up you should no longer see the "No Link to Dispatcher" message on your Keypad. For more information regarding this message, you can click here to view our Help Center article on the topic.

I have been getting the "no link to dispatcher" for a month now. I have followed the instructions and reset the base station more times than I can count! Just reset again this morning & I'm still getting the message. I have the original Simplisafe base station on a night stand in front of a window. I have tried moving it to the other side of the house, same issue. I'm about ready to toss it!

Hi @mtswenter,

If you'd like to get this taken care of, you can do so by calling up our Support Team at 1-800-548-9508 from 8 AM to Midnight ET, 7 days a week. We can adjust the settings on your Base Station so that it no longer attempts to connect to our monitoring, therefore removing the error message from your Keypad and the blinking light from the base. Please note that if we do this, we will not be able to reactivate that Base Station again. If you'd prefer, we could just turn off the light on the Base Station. While you would still get the no link to dispatch message on the Keypad and would no longer have a steady blue light when the system is armed, this would give you the option to reactivate monitoring in the future.
