Keypad panic button

Just set up my kit. Easy instructions. One thing I could not find in any instructions or diagrams of the the keypad...and critical....is if it has a panic button!
Sure, I saw the red button on top. But nothing tells me what it is or how to activate the panic mode.
I had to Google it.
Huge oversight.
