Is there a way to see when doors and windows are opened and closed on the Timeline

We also just switched to simplisafe. I stumbled across this thread as I was looking to see how to view the 'history' of a door. We previously had nest and was able to view the history of a door, I also assumed this was standard.

The current status is nice, but a history log of when it was opened is what is missing. Empahsizing the request to have this feature! 

Same question. My xfinity had it. I could see when the dog walker came and went. New simplisafe doesn’t have that feature. Thinking of returning it. 

@ssuri03​ There is not a feature where you can see when an Entry Sensor has been opened or closed on the timeline, but you can enable Secret Alerts to get notified every time an Entry Sensor is opened. You can learn more about Secret Alerts in this article in our Help Center.

@emily_s​ secret alerts sort of give me the notification / timeline I want but then it mutes the door chime!  This is NOT what I want.  Can you please ask dev/engineering team for a fix?  Reading through the forms several (950+ views) other users want these features its not just me.  I am considering canceling, returning my equipment and going with another company if this feature is not added.  

@ssuri03​ We do have two different feature requests with our dev team related to this. There's one request that shows sensor activity in the timeline, and another for a Secret Alert with a chime. When we hear any update from our devs regarding these requests, an update will be provided in their respective thread. 

Please add this feature. Just like the base announces door is Open, can you not announce when door is closed.  It’s being registered in your logs and hence it’s an event.   Please add it. AT&T had this 5+ years ago !!!  It’s really a feature that would be very welcomed.  It’s a natural feature where you want to hear when the door is opened but also closed for safety reasons. For example - kid comes into the garage, you’ll hear the announcement when opened and then closed ! 

On my timeline it used to show what time the front door was opened.  I was able to look back and make sure what time my son left for work or if he was late.  It stopped showing that about a month ago.  I do have the SimpliSafe lock on that door.   I never paid any attention to the other doors because we only use that door to leave.  Did something happen because I would like that feature back?

@dwlhubb​ Is the timestamp itself missing in the timeline event? Or do you no longer receive timeline events when an Entry Sensor gets opened?

If you stopped receiving events when the Entry Sensor gets opened, have you made any changes to your monitoring plan? If an Entry Sensor is set to Secret Alert, it will leave an event in your timeline whenever the sensor has been opened, but that feature is only available with the Self Monitoring with Camera Recordings and Fast Protect™ monitoring plans.
