No recording of an incident at my front door

This morning someone brought their dog to poo on the flowers on my front garden. This person waited and watched their dog poo over my flowers and left without clearing the mess.

When I checked the simplisafe camera I was extremely disappointed because there was no recording of the incident. This is the fourth time I have gone to check for incidents and found no recording. I find this quite unreliable and I'm considering switching the front door camera to another company if this matter isn't resolved.

My question: is there a way to go into the camera and track recordings even though this recent event is not showing up as being recorded?
