The problem is the camera resolution setting. The solution is to set the camera picture quality to 480p, save the setting, and then pull up a live feed. You can then increase the quality to 720p. Do not set to 1080p or you I'll have to repeat the process. According to tech support, only the doorbell supports 1080p.
@dougfronz the doorbell does support multiple resolutions, so the info you got from support is wrong (unless I read your post incorrectly). I have 3 simplicams and one doorbell, all at their highest resolution, 729 and 1080, and all work fine. Android on the phone app if it matters.
My app keeps crashing and Simplisafe keeps telling me to do the same thing over and over and it still wont work. If I delete the app, reinstall it, I can get to the login screen but then it wants to verify my device. Hop over to email to verify. when that's complete it takes me back to the app and then the app crashes. after that if i try to open the app it will immediately crash. My phone is up to date, and all of my other apps work. I even tried to download a random new app and it worked fine.
Well thats strange because i just went to all 3 phones that we have the app on and all seem to be working great, well for now maybe i should not say anything lol
