No longer getting any notifications

Hi,

I no longer seem to be getting notifications, and I have changed nothing about my setup.  I used to get notifications from my locks and now I don't.  I can unlock them manually or through the app and it does not matter at bit. I have all push notifications enabled and my phone number is correct and with the correct producer selected.  I'm not sure what's gone wrong.  Anyone else having issues?

@usmaak  I was getting them a few days ago, just checked now and zip, nothing when I unlocked it.

Confirmed not working.  Notification emails show up, but sensor notifications are not working on the app.  Camera motion notifications are working, however.  Just not when a sensor is activated.

Who's going to take one for the team and call in to go through their hours-long troubleshooting script to make it clear it's not an app problem?  ("OK, have you opened the app?  Turn the notifications off then back on.  OK try it now.  OK, reboot the phone.  Ok try it now.  OK, turn the notifications off then back on again. OK try it now.  OK, delete the app.  OK, reinstall the app.    OK, turn the notifications off then back on again. OK try it now.  OK, delete the app, reboot the phone, reinstall the app, turn the notifications off then back on again" ad naseum... )

Decided to test and mine are working fine.  I normally don't use push notifications except for actual alarms, but I turned them on for activity, set the system to home, and received the push just fine.  I'm on Android FWIW.  I'm not using an SS brand lock, but general push notifications do work for me.

Notifications are still not working this AM on Android.  Sorry Coltmaster, not making the call as I'm still working, but working from home so I don't need them right now and don't have the time.

Jealous. Most of us have the ability to work from home but the old men science denyers that own the company think this thing is bull.  If I suddenly stop posting call a lawyer lol.

Good news:  Notifications are working again.  Just tested and it came through immediately.  

With everybody's cameras going down and notifications not working, one of two things was happening:  They were upgrading or moving the servers, or they were having a major outage and have now recovered.  Because of Simplisafe's near-total lack of communication with it's customers, we will never know.

I have the same issue since the beginning of March 2024. My iPhone just stopped getting notifications when system is turned on or off and when the camera is activated by a motion. Also, not getting anymore emails when system is turned on or off and camera is activated.

I have chat with SS and did all the trouble shooting. Replaced batteries of the unit and keypad. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Updated the iOS and the unit. Again and again. Nothing happened. Chat again after 2 weeks and still nothing works.

Very frustrated. Time to switch?

Did you recently change your monitoring plan? Email notifications, and notifications when the system is armed or disarmed are only available with the Fast Protect™ and Self Monitoring with Camera Recording Plans. For more information on what is included in each of our monitoring plans, check out this article in our Help Center.

Regarding your cameras, is the Motion Notifications setting enabled for them? If is it not, you would not be notified when they detect motion. You can check for this in the SimpliSafe mobile app by going to My System > Camera Settings > select [your camera] > Motion Detection and then toggle Motion Events and Motion Notifications on. Once that change has been made, be sure to tap Save in the top right corner to lock in this setting.

I get push notifications from my Schlage smart lock without any kind of subscription but I can't get a general push notification from my SimpliSafe app to tell me when it's enabled or disabled even though I pay $19.99/month? And if I downgrade to a Self-Monitoring Plan I do get that feature? And I had this feature for months until you suddenly decided to disable it for Standard Plans? There is nothing about this that makes a bit of sense. I've been a customer for 7 years but you've lost me SimpliSafe. I feel a switch to Ring in my very near future.
