App and Camera issue 7/26/23

Hi,

 

Thanks to all those who reported this issue on the Community. We are aware of an issue late last night which impacted function of the SimpliSafe app, webapp, Outdoor Camera, and Smart Alarm Indoor Camera. Monitoring Service was not affected, and this issue has since been resolved.

 

If you continue to have issues with the SimpliSafe app or your cameras, please reach out to our Support team so we can continue to troubleshoot.

second night in a row...base station not connecting to apps / devices. My home wifi is fine. Trying to call Simplisafe, but on hold for 15 minutes. I am really concerned that Simplisafe will fail me and my family by failing randomly at night and no one there to help / answer our problems. Really considering switching.

This is also happening to me. Base station and keypad all working fine but app cannot connect. Wi-Fi is fine

@goodrichfsu @jdmacdonaldesq  we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We did experience an outage around midnight ET, but our engineering team was able to restore full function ASAP. You should no longer be seeing any issues, but please keep us updated!

@lhhanh you mention your issue has actually been going on for a couple of days, prior to last night's outage. If you haven't already, I strongly suggest contacting our Support team for further troubleshooting.

I've been troubleshooting for the last 30 minutes and I finally went to downdetector and realized it's you all that's down. Please add system statuses to your site so we aren't wasting time several times a week trying to troubleshoot.

@brownstone8681​ thanks for the suggestion. For urgent concerns like the outage we had last night, we do put up a banner at the top of our Help Center (and also this Community forum). So if you ever have trouble again in the future, it's a good idea to head to the Help Center first.

We do typically take down the banner as soon as the issue is resolved.

I am away from home and of course I received a notification from my Simplisafe app that it is unable to connect to my Base Station. The app then prompts me to enter my PIN, so I do, and it says "Something went wrong."

I checked my Wifi status and it's showing a strong connection to the Base station. Customer service has had me on hold for 40+ min on the phone. I also received no text from customer service. This is not an ideal situation to be in and I cannot troubleshoot the Base Station since I am away. Is this an issue with the app?
