The Water Sensor alerts you to leaks and flooding, helping you prevent expensive water damage. Undetected leaks can lead to mold, ruined carpets, warped wood floors, and more.

Where to put the Water Sensor

The Water Sensor should be placed on the floor where there is a risk of leaks, flooding, or broken plumbing. We recommend putting the Water Sensor in a laundry room, basement, or underneath a sink.

Installing the Water Sensor

To install the Water Sensor to your SimpliSafe® system, take the following steps:

1. Open up the SimpliSafe® Mobile App on your smartphone or tablet

2. Navigate to the three-bar menu icon in the top left corner of the screen

3. Select Add Device or Camera

4. Tap Let’s Go at the bottom of the screen

5. Scroll down to Water and follow the on-screen prompts
