I’m already a SimpliSafe subscriber; when will my monitoring plan price increase go into effect?
Effective on Jan 31st, our monitoring plan pre-tax prices for new customers are $27.99 for Interactive, $17.99 for Standard, and $9.99 for Self Monitoring with Camera Recordings.
Existing professional monitoring customers will also see the $3 per month increase. Impacted customers will receive an email notification from SimpliSafe before any changes to their billing.
Why is my plan price increasing?
We are raising prices so we can continue investing in providing customers with the best home security. From improving our professional monitoring services to new features in our app and cameras, our focus is to continually enhance our monitoring services to keep you and your home safe.
This is the first time we have ever increased our prices for the Interactive and Standard plans. Over the last 12 years, we’ve kept our prices exactly the same; but unfortunately, the entire industry has been experiencing increased costs.
Will my plan receive any new features?
Interactive Monitoring subscribers will now enjoy an extended limited lifetime warranty for the duration of their subscription, as well as a 10% discount on all additional equipment purchases for the duration of their subscription.
For our Standard subscribers, we’ve introduced remote app control and push alarm notifications as new plan features in the last year, allowing you to arm/disarm your system and receive immediate notification if anything triggers an alarm whether or not you're at home.
We are continuing to invest in providing our customers with the best home security and are excited to introduce more new products and features.
What are the monitoring plan options?
Do I need to have a monitoring plan to use my SimpliSafe system?
Nope! Your SimpliSafe system will function as a stand-alone alarm system without a monitoring plan. But remember—a monitoring subscription provides 24/7 professional monitoring, ready-to-dispatch help in emergencies, and even more features that enhance your security experience.
