No customer discounts at checkout

It is upsetting that no advertised discount has ever been applied to any sensor order I have placed online since being a subscribed monitoring customer. I am currently wanting to order more sensors, but waiting until this online shopping cart error is fixed. It would be nice to also have the missing discounts applied to my future online order which were never honored as advertised previously following the initial purchase of my system and monitoring subscription enrollment.

@davey_d​ I am referring to 10% discounts on equipment for being an interactive monitoring subscriber. I have yet to ever get this discount applied at checkout for any order since I have been a subscriber the full duration of owning my system from what I can tell. Is the discount included in the pricing already and not calculated at checkout as the website states when I go through the app to order new equipment? From what I could tell the pricing is still the same as when you go through the regular website without being logged in to your account.

@RK9​ thanks for clarifying! Yes, as long as you're logged into your SimpliSafe account, the shopping cart should be auto-applying your discount. It might help to disable or whitelist SimpliSafe from any adblockers or similar plugins, if you have any.

But I would strongly suggest reaching out to our Support team to take advantage of even better deals running right now!

@RK9 If I understand your post correctly,  the discount, say 40%, when you bought your system, only applies to what you purchased at that time, not future purchases of additional equipment. That said, if you are on the interactive $27.99 oer month plan, you get 10% off purchases. Also check oui Best Buy or Amazon, as they sometimes have great sales on SS hardware.  Best Buy also offers a discount every day on a package of 4 entry sensors.

Finally, you have nothing to lose calling SS, explain the situation and ask for a discount.

@captain11​ I was told when I was speaking to Customer Service helping me set up my system that I had 30 days to purchase more at the discount of 45% which I bought my system for. Why is it that we’re being told we can when we can’t?

@captain11​ sorry for not clarifying. Yes, I was making reference to the 10% discount for being an interactive monitoring subscriber. Ever since I have been a full monitoring subscriber, no 10% discount has ever been awarded on any purchases. It always says the discount will be applied at checkout, but never is for some reason. Thanks for the tip on Best Buy, etc. I will definitely check into it!

I was told over the phone by a customer service rep who was helping me set up my system

@kmng1069​ I was told the same thing. I had to call my order in and tell them what the salesperson told me when I bought my system to get the discount on the extra sensors I wanted. Hope this helps

Hi @RK9 ,

If you're talking about the promotions like we have on our Shop page, most of those promotions are for full system orders. They will unfortunately not be able to apply to additional component orders.

As alluded to by others, theoretically, if you're still within your 60 day Money Back Guarantee, you could return your whole system for a full refund, and re-purchase  everything that you need at the latest discount. So to save you from that hassle (and to be more environmentally friendly!), our Sales team can just manually apply the same discount that you purchased your system with, to a new component order. The one caveat is that this discount cannot be applied automatically - our Support team would have to put the order in for you.

However, if you subscribe to our Newsletter (on your online account, under Menu > Manage Account > Email Preferences (on the right)), we'll let you know when we have a sale that includes components for your existing system. I can't confirm yet, but there might be one such sale happening soon!

@davey_d​ When you told over the phone the dicount at the time opf purchase ALSO applies for 30 days of purchase date for additional products... It is NOT Implied; it is a verbal confirmation from the person on the phone I spoke with who helped me set up the system.

@kmng1069​ apologies, I just meant to explain why the policy is the way that it is. To take advantage, our Support team does need to put the order in for you, as our system won't allow applying a system discount to component-only orders.
