On my previous system I had the alarm on a schedule to arm throughout the night and disarm in the AM. Does SimpliSafe have this feature? I can't find it.
@davey_d SS should absolutely have the OPTION to set the system to automatically disarm during home mode. The homeowner/human is making a conscious effort and a direct action to set the alarm this way. It should be their preference. Customers should drive innovation and features. Example- someone in the family gets up at 6 AM to get ready for school/ work, or to take a pet out but forgets to turn off the alarm and opens a door setting it off and scaring others sleeping. The alarm could be set to automatically disarm at a time your family decides no one is likely to be up - say 5:30. Ultimately, it should be up to the owner to make a personal choice at what time the alarm auto disarms. Give the customer the option but leave it up to them as to what’s right for their situation. I like many others on this thread have had this feature with other systems and it was very helpful and appreciated.
I’m so disappointed in this system. It’s beyond me that a supposedly smart alarm can’t even schedule it to arm. This is a fundamental requirement. I can’t justify spending any more money on a product which can’t even do the basics, yet charges high prices just to use the app! Sort yourselves out Simplisafe….

Ring actually already offers this feature and when I moved homes and went with SimpliSafe I was surprised that it did not have it. It is a valuable feature because I know the general times my family is awake and asleep. So, when I had Ring my system would automatically arm at the time I knew everyone would be home and settling into bed, which was around 10pm. Then it would automatically disarm when I knew my wife and I would be awake in the morning around 6am.
Many people don’t use their security systems because you have to think about arming and disarming the system. This feature makes it easy to use.
It’s not a feature you use when your away from the home. It’s a feature you use to make sure arming and disarming are easy while you’re home. I can’t tell you how many times we have accidentally set the alarm off when letting the dogs out in the morning because we forgot to disarm the system. It’s irritating and frustrating to have to scramble to find your phone or run to the other side of the house to use the keypad. Schedules make it easy.
One more thing - sometimes our family doesn’t always have the same schedule, but it’s much easier to have to think about manually arming and disarming when there an exception than it is to have to remember to always do it manually and not set the alarm off when letting the dogs out in the morning 😆
@thecraiggleason love -“Come on SS love you… This needs to get done”. Please listen to your customers and innovate and improve your products. Thank you.
An auto schedule feature is such an easy thing to implement. Let the customer have the choice based on their own personal circumstances.
I unfortunately will be returning my SS alarm system and go back to my old alarm system that had that scheduling feature to automatically arm and disarm the alarm.
My family is very schedule oriented. The only time we have the alarm on is at night or if we are all away from the house. I would much rather have the alarm system automatically arm for me in the likely event that I forgot to arm it at night. I don’t always have my phone on me so the phone notification wouldn’t be that helpful.
Ive talked to others that had SS or have considered SS and that was one of the reasons not staying/getting SS was the lack of having a schedule tied to arming and disarming the alarm.
I want this scheduled arm/disarm feature as well. I woud like to integrate this into an evening and morning routine with other devices in the house. This feature should have been implemented a long time ago. Simplisafe could at least give us as customers the option to enable that feature and accept the risks (which I don't see any, really) and schedule arm and disarm at certain times of day. Also its way past time to make simplisafe compatible with IFTTT. GET THIS DONE. Simplisafe is falling behind in this area of development.
Had I known there was no was no ability to schedule the alarm to arm/disarm, I would not have purchased it. Honestly, this should be a basic, bare minimum feature
@tristaoliva This request has come up before and SS has always put it on the back burner. For me, there are many other priorities I would like to see done first....like passing a flag for an alarm state so my 9 IoT lights on the inside and outside of my house would light it up like a Christmas tree. I know it 's not the same thing, but SS has added to the phone app the ability to set up a reminder to arm the system.
Respectfully, a question: why is this a feature you would really want? How would you use it? Thanks!
I just bought a Ring system for my office specifically because I am able to create a schedule for the system to auto arm and disarm. Reading other posts on this topic and the replies from SS are utterly ridiculous… their replies show that they have a serious disconnect from their customers. Most every other system on the market has this feature.
Add the ability to turn on “Home” mode only at 9PM-7AM M-F and then automatically default back to “Off” for when I am awake. Turn on Away mode automatically when I’m leaving for my vacation because I scheduled it to turn on starting Saturday morning at 10AM and expire on the following Friday at 7PM and default to “Off” until 9PM again
When will this feature be available? AT&T Digital Life had it available 10 years ago. Auto scheduling seems like an easy feature to add to the system. Help your customers, Simplisafe!
I was about to replace my Amazon Blink doorbell cam and deck floodlight with their Simplisafe counterparts, but without this feature it makes no sense.
Blink lets me schedule automatic arming of my cameras each evening and disarming each morning. That way I only get alerts if someone was sneaking around at night, but not during the day when there is constant activity outside.
If I had to remember to arm them manually every evening and disarm every morning, I'd probably forget 9 days out to 10 to do one or the other.
Adding in my support to schedule arming or even disarming of the system. Right now I'm testing out the system and the lack of automatic arming is quickly becoming a deal breaker for me.

I have used two other services in the past and each of them offered an automatic arm / disarm feature for the alarm system.
This system offers a suggestion feature to turn on or off. But it would be great if you could set it up automatically.

I've been asking for years for SS to give the option to set automatic timed alarms on/off for late night forgetfulness.
When coming in from work late at night and forget to arm
When kids come home and forget to arm
Set the system to auto arm at midnight....
Still no ability to do so.
Instead a "reminder" on the app to "set a time to remind yourself"
I could have done that timer myself 5 ways on my iphone...
Come on Simply I love you, been w/ you since the beginning but this needs to get done...
