Multiple mobile app users - wife.
How should multiple users in home be setup? Is the idea that everyone uses the same single account, or should I create multiple user accounts for a single dwelling? How should this work with the mobile app?

The previous reply is of course correct. There is no limit to how many devices can be logged on using the same login details.

For example:
First Name Last Name
John & Mary Smith
Works well.
Possibly Johnny M will respond.

Presumably you mean something with a timed expiry or activation window that you can set it and forget it, so to speak?

I think the point of additional mobile/web app logins with limited permissions to a master account is being missed here... Only allowing a single master account login forces you to share those single credentials with family/friends/guests. Now, when everyone is using the same credentials to arm/disarm the system with the mobile app, you have no way to determine exactly who was doing it.
And the "additional PINs" solution? I have a separate guest entrance, do I really want to pay for an additional wireless keypad for that space? Not to mention that, if a guest is arriving late at night, do I really want to be woken up by the base station alert while they fumble around trying to enter their own PIN during the entry delay? No, of course not. I'd much rather have them use the mobile app, with their own unique credentials, so they can discretely disable the alarm before the door is even opened.
Now let's consider other aspects of sharing single master account credentials with friends/family/guests so they can use the mobile app... If any one of their devices becomes compromised, my entire system becomes compromised. If I need to revoke access for any one of these people, then everyone is forced to reset the (single master account) password in all of their devices.
Do I really need to continue SimpliSafe? I mean, this is literally Security 101 Best Practices. I should know, I've worked in Cybersecurity for over 10 years. And the fact this 4 year old thread has not resulted in one of the most basic feature enhancements yet makes me think that SimpliSafe may not be as "progressive" as their marketing would have everyone think.
The only response I want to hear from SimpliSafe on this is the date in 2022 when this feature will become available.

Agreed. The app functionalty is REALLY lacking when compared to other systems After 4 years in thinking that it'll never happen (or be vaporware).
Wow.... 4 years!
