Entry Delay Away Setting issue

I have just completed the installation of my new system.  As I modify settings I noticed that the Entry Delay, Away was set at 30 seconds.  This means that when a break in occurs and a sensor is tripped, it will take 30 seconds before the sirens go off.  I spoke with SimpliSafe Tech Support and was told that 30 seconds was the shortest setting available.  I really like this security system but having to wait 30 seconds from sensor trip to siren is really unacceptable.  I can only hope that this issue is resolved at the next firmware update.  It should be manually config, down to 5 seconds.  Anyone else feel the same way or have a work around.  Lets hope Simplisafe Engineering will take care of this SOON.

In the sensor settings, turn on instant trigger for appropriate outer door and window sensors. Maybe an entry delay on the inner garage door or as desired.

It's been claimed you can call and maybe a supervisor can lower that delay. Unknown.

Mine are all instant trigger. Except inner garage.

Their purpose was probably false alarm prevention while learning the system and habits.

Thanks for the reply.  Instant Trigger will work on many of my sensors which I will test out, but there are several doors I would use for house access that would need to have a short delay before triggering so I can have time to disable the system.  I also don't want to carry the key fob around.  A 5-10 second trigger delay would be perfect

@markhallquistf79b5e For home mode, not an issue, as the delay can go down to 0, but for away mode, SS sets a hard limit at 30 seconds.  In the past I had it reduced below that but no longer available, at least as far as I know.

To account for the entry delay on my one door, the base is hidden and configured to no lights, no sounds.

@markhallquistf79b5e Currently, 30 seconds is the shortest amount of time you can set for the system's Entry Delay. But we have submitted the request to shorten this time to our devs for their consideration. If/when this feature is brought into development, we'll provide an update in this thread in the Community.

And as DLPSR mentioned, enabling Instant Trigger ensures that if a sensor is tripped while your system is armed, an alarm will sound right away.
