Keypad

Hi!

I just moved into a new commercial space and the previous tenant has a simplisafe security system. I do not have the code and want to take it down to install my own system but I’m worried that if I don’t have their code it may alarm and I won’t be able to stop it. If the screen is black, I assume it’s dead, could I just remove it from the wall without it making an alarm sound?

Thanks,

Cassidy

Hi Cassidy,

The Keypad is just a remote control for the main system. It's also wireless and battery powered, so you can slide it off the wall and take out a battery to make sure it's shut down (though it sounds like it's out of charge already).

Same for the rest of the system - just removing components will not trigger an alarm.

Just be careful of the panic button on the Keypad, and perhaps the dedicated Panic Button. If you press either for 2 seconds, that will trigger a siren.

However, it is also very likely that there's no Monitoring Service currently active, so it would just be an audible siren with no risk of dispatch.

All this being said, we would really suggest giving us a try! We're here if you have any questions.
