Can't customize without keychain?

I just installed my system. No where that I saw when building my system did it suggest adding the keychain because it's the only way to access the ez setup wizard to customize which detectors are tied to home and away. Is the keychain the only way to customize? It so you'd think it would come standard with the system. Please help!

SS2 system I'm guessing?  You can also customize via the web site if you are on the monitoring plan.  Don't want that plan?  Sign up for one month of it, set it all up, then cancel.  Otherwise yes, you need the keyfob to do it unless you are on the newer SS3 system, which can be done through the keypad.

Not all key fobs are created equal.  The "extra key chain" listed on the site does not have the usb function.  They keychain with usb should have come standard with the system, if it didn't call SS.

Drunkpeguin, I'm confused.  It's January 2020, could the OP even be installing SS2 system?  

I haven't seen SS2 even available on the Simplisafe website, just SS2 sensors to add on to exiting system.

And is the OP (Brian) referring to Keypad, not Keychain?

SS2 is still being sold on Amazon and maybe other places.  We could have a confusion of verbiage, but the OP did say "ez setup wizard" which was only an SS2 thing and done away with on the SS3.
