SimpliSafe Yard Sign Deterioration

My SimpliSafe yard sign has deteriorated to the point where it is no longer legible. I have attempted to reach out via email but have not heard back. I read on another forum that this is a "rare" occurrence, but my sign has steadily deteriorated after being out for a few months.

@michellemwhite my sign and stake are collecting dust in my basement.  I have offered to to a few other customers but we all use generic or competitor signs.  If you call Simplisafe they will readily replace it at nc.

If you have to use SS signs, spray them first with an automotive clear coat spray (2-3 coats between short drying times - thanks to the tips by user Lance - you can get this at any auto parts store, or Walmart in the auto section, etc).  To my knowledge, they never fixed the problem with the signs.  And don't bother with email, call them, try calling at 9 am (ET) in the mornings when they first open, press #1 for sales, someone might answer sooner.

Thank you colt, but yes if you have to use there signs make sure the sign is clean first then like colt said spray one coat at a time of any automotive clear coat in a can and allow dry time between. Use about 3 coats and that should work. They use to make good signs but these are the cheapest things around.

If you have the old original sign then your ok as they made them good but when they came out with the new ss3 they made newer signs and they went super cheap with them and they fade fast within months so i tried automotive clear coat on them and it worked perfectly, especially the hot weather down here in the south will fade them fast.

Thank you all for the tips! They sent me replacement signs so I will be clear coating them before setting them up.

I'm in Arizona and my sign has literally disintegrate from the sun. The front of my house gets full sun... everyday. Why don't they just make a metal sign that will last? I'm willing to pay more for it.

I've been very happy with the system overall (except for the motion detector) since the launch of the newest generation of hardware.  My only current problem is the latest design of yard signs which fade much faster than previous iterations.  I rely heavily on mine, posted at the foot of my 1,000-foot driveway, to deter intruders as the house is not visible from the road.  It takes direct sun and is now barely legible.
